Kathy L. Hansmeier, 57, of Jacksonville, IL died Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Prairie Village Healthcare in Jacksonville.
She was born September 7, 1959 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Farrell and Josephine Moss Hansmeier.
She is survived by three siblings, Barbara Hansmeier of Jacksonville, twin sister Karen Hansmeier of Orland Park, and Samuel F. Hansmeier Jr. (wife, Joyce) of Winchester; and five nieces and nephews, Morgan Hansmeier of Peoria, Melissa Kline (husband, Greg) of Grand Rapids, MI, Tyler Davis (wife, Molly) of Omaha, NE, Matthew Davis (wife, Emily) of Cape Coral, FL, and Cameron Davis of Palm Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A 1977 graduate of Jacksonville High School, Kathy worked at Jacksonville Foods and Eagle Country Market prior to joining Skyview Nursing Home as housekeeping supervisor.
Kathy was a former member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and enjoyed bowling, watching westerns and NASCAR racing on TV. She was devoted to her special feline companion, Chloe.
