Lakeport – Kathy Jane Brendel died on April 16, 2021. She was born May 25, 1949, in Bristol, Virginia to the late Kearney and Allie (Wells) Grace. A resident of Lakeport since the 1980s, she was the owner of Brendel Mobile Home Park. She attended Maple Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed the fellowship provided. She enjoyed small stakes gambling, such as slot machines.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Brendel.
She is survived by her sisters, K. June Miller of Kansas City, Missouri and Eleanor Carico (Donnie) of Bristol, Tennessee; son, Michael Steven Lyons of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Alex Lyons of Lakeport, Florida, Sarah Lyons of Palatka, Florida, and Solace Lyons of Deltona, Florida; one great-granddaughter, Adalynn J. Tubbs of Palatka, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
