It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Huffman Storck of Columbus, Ohio on Friday, January 15, 2021, at the age of 93.
Mary Kathryn Huffman was born in Atwood, Ohio on April 22, 1927 to William Preston and Zettie Mouse Huffman. After graduating from Dellroy High School, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from The Ohio State University. On May 20, 1950, Kathy married Eugene T. Storck of Wellsburg, WV.
She was known for her compassionate and loving spirit; everyone was family in her mind, and she will be forever remembered for always having Nuts and Bolts and vitamins (M&M’s) on hand to share.
She is preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings (Harvie, Margie, Ralph, Ruth, Gar, Guy and Grace), and husband, Eugene. She is survived by five children: Tom (Teresa), Dan (Deb), Mick (Susan), Susan Miller, and Nancy (Dan) Goulson. She will also be fondly remembered as Memaw by her 14 grandchildren: Evan and Erin; Ben, Katie, and Jon; Claire, Adam, and Zoe; Wesley Miller and Jacob Storck; Preston, Zach, Grace and Anna Goulson; their spouses (as applicable); eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a family of groundhogs.
