Kathy Ann Hudson, 69, of Harvey, IL gained her wings, Friday, July 12, 2019 at 6:50 a.m. She was born in Laurel, MS, October 8, 1949 to Lola Mae Brown and Percy Atterberry. Kathy graduated from Rowan High School in Hattiesburg, MS in 1968. From there she attended Mississippi Valley State University where she received her BA Degree in 1972.
Kathy married George Hudson on April 9, 1978 in Mounds, IL. From their union came two beautiful daughters; Georithya Hudson and Geothya Mitchell, affectionately known as “The Girls”. They were her greatest accomplishment.
Kathy dedicated her life to serving others. She spent almost 40 years developing the minds of young people through education. She taught at Jesse Owens Academy for 35 years. Prior to that, she taught in the Catholic School System as well as Harvey School District 152.
Kathy Ann Hudson was preceded in death by her parents: Lola Mae Brown and Percy Atterberry.
