Kathy Hanson Proctor, 60, of Chattahoochee Hills, passed away peacefully on the evening of January 2, 2019, at Piedmont Hospital Newnan. She was born in Newnan Hospital on December 3, 1958, to Clifford Manard Hanson and Wyolene Carter Wilder.
Kathy graduated from Newnan High School and worked in the Clerk’s Office and as a paralegal for several law firms in Newnan. But Kathy’s favorite job in life was that of being a mother to her two children, Amanda and John Allen. They were the lights of her life and she truly cherished them. Kathy was deeply spiritual and saw God in every flower, tree, and stray animal that needed a home. She was an avid gardener and spent endless hours crafting meaningful gifts for her beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Manard Hanson, and her brother-in-law, Wallace Miller Glover. She is survived by her loving husband, Allen Lee Proctor, daughter, Amanda Casey Proctor, and son, John Allen Proctor. Also surviving are her mother, Wyolene Carter Wilder of Newnan, sisters Kay Hanson Glover of Savannah, Karyn Wilder Killmaster (Jim) of Chattahoochee Hills, Amy Wilder Bearden (Stan) of Peachtree City, brother, Robert Kelley Wilder (Amanda) of Sharpsburg, nephews, Wallace Miller Glover, Jr. (Ashley) of Savannah, Michael Hanson Glover of Santa Barbara, California, Kelley Carter Glover (Molly) of Charleston, South Carolina, niece Chloe Wilder Bearden of Peachtree City, in-laws – Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Proctor of Sharpsburg and their children and grandchildren. Also surviving are several great-nephews and nieces and her beloved dog Charlie Brown.
