Kathy (Flynn) Mitchell, 77, of Washington, IL passed away at 7:35 AM on Tuesday, September 7, 2022 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
She was born on June 26, 1945, in Peoria, IL the daughter of Barney and Leveta Sweezer Flynn. She married Leslie F. “Mitch” Mitchell on March 17, 1986, in Reno, NV.
Surviving is her husband, three daughters, Debbie (the late Ricky) Kephart of Washington; Shari (Jim) Volovski of Oswego, IL, and Pam (Dave) Cain; one son Randy (Tamara) Pruett of Normal, IL. Also surviving are severn grandchildren; Jason Powers, Chloe Powers, Sydney (Zach) Schultz, Jessy Pruett, Kevin, Kyle, and Kody Cain; one great grandson Jaxon Weiss-Powers. Further surviving are two sisters, Mary (Larry) Musselman of Springfield, IL and Anita Petrie of Lacon, IL.
She worked at Commercial National Bank in data entry before retiring. She enjoyed watching professional and college sports especially the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals.
