Kathy Della Gray, 50, of Anderson, passed away April 12, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Anderson Regional Hospital following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on March 21, 1967 in Muncie. Kathy graduated from Lapel High School, Class of 1985, undergraduate studies at Franklin College, and received her Doctorate degree in Jurisprudence at Valparaiso University School of Law. She formerly worked as deputy prosecutor for Allen, Dubois, and Tippecanoe counties, where she specialized as a domestic violence advocate. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, Indiana State Bar Association, and a volunteer at Dove Harbor. Kathy was involved in the YMCA Domestic Battery and Domestic Violence Group. Kathy is survived by her 3 sisters, Kelly (Dan) Gray Gentry of Traverses City, MI, Kristi (Glenn) Gray Paul of Austin, TX, and Julie (Wayne) Gray Allman of Anderson; brother, Jamie (Jennifer) Gray of Frankton; Half Brother, Devin Michael (Rachel) Gray of Ashburn, VA; step-father, Tom Persing of Freetown; 2 step-sisters, Teri Ellen Persing of Anderson and Jane Persing of Indianapolis; 2 step-brothers, Timothy Eugene (Lori) Persing of Ft. Wayne and Theodore Edward (Donna) Persing of Cincinnati; Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by father, William James Gray; mother, Sue Persing; sister, Dr. Karin Gray.
