Kathy’s career was multifaceted. Among the positions she loved the most were that of a pre-school teacher, an accounts receivable clerk at the headquarters of Solo Cup Company in Urbana, Illinois, and many positions in banking from a teller, a new accounts counselor, a loan officer, a manager of a loan processing department, and a residential construction lender.
Her most cherished endeavor however, was that of a stay-at-home mom raising her two sons Michael Anthony and David Ryan.
Kathy was well known for being a lover of animals, especially squirrels and all species of birds. Her relationships with animals was uncanny.
Kathy loved decorating the family home for all of the holidays. When it came to Christmas, Kathy was an expert at “interior illumination.”
Kathy met her husband Michael in December of 1970. They were engaged, not on a jumbo-tron in some stadium, but in an isolated farm field where the only sounds that could be heard were the wind, the birds, and the insects of the field. It was a precious spring day. They were married for 46 years.
