Kathryne Jane Stettler departed this life unexpectedly in Boise, ID on Friday, August 27, 2010. Katie was 35 years old when her Heavenly Father called for her return home.
Katie was born March 6, 1975 in Boise, ID to John Gregory and Kerry Lynn White. During her early childhood, Katie’s family moved to Nampa and Caldwell where she attended grade school. Her family moved back to Boise, ID where Katie attended West Junior High and Borah Senior High Schools. At the young age of 13, Katie met Scott Stettler, the love of her life and future husband. Katie and Scott were married a year after graduating high school in Boise, ID on June 4, 1994.
After high school, Katie worked in collections and management positions. This enabled her husband to pursue and achieve his college education. Katie’s ultimate dream from the time she was very young was to become a mother. When the timing was right, she happily traded in her career to be a full-time, stay-at-home-mom. Her dreams were fulfilled, when her two sons came into this world. She loved her boys more than anything. Her boundless energy and fun-loving personality forever kept them laughing and enjoying their time with her. Her boys love their Mom very much and will sincerely miss having her in their lives.
Katie had a passion for music and reading, in addition she was a gifted writer. She lived life to the fullest and had a contagious outgoing personality. One of Katie’s best characteristics was her laugh, which was contagious and would always spread to those around her. Her charm, wit, high energy and unique spirit gave her the opportunity to love and be loved by many people throughout her lifetime. Katie will be missed immensely by all who had the opportunity to have her in their lives.
Katie is survived by the love of her life, Scott Stettler; her cherished and precious children, Blake Scott Stettler and Corbin Gregory Stettler of Logan, UT; her loving siblings, Jennifer White, J. Zachary White, and Abby Stimpson of Boise, ID; and her special niece and four nephews. Katie was preceded in death by her father and mother, John Gregory and Kerry Lynn White; and her little sister, Elizabeth Ann White.
