SALEM- Kathryn Stahl Fowler, 86, of Salem, died at 1:36 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at the Salem Community Hospital. Mrs. Fowler was born Oct. 2, 1925, in Salem, a daughter of the late Glen Leroy and Gertrude (Steves) Stahl Turney. She was a former co-owner of the Plummer Diehl Exterminating Company for 30 years. She was a former member of the First Christian Church in Salem. Her husband, Howard E. Fowler Sr., whom she married Feb. 2, 1947, preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 2001. Survivors include a son, Howard (Sally) Fowler Jr. of Guilford Lake; two daughters, Marlene (Rick) Albright of Columbus and Tina (Robert) Borden of Salem; a brother, Ronald Turney of Salem; seven grandchildren, Todd Fowler, Gary Weikart, Stacie Lippiatt, Eric Weikart, Chad Fowler, and Craig and Brandy Borden; and nine great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Loraine Fowler Weikart, four sisters and two brothers.
