Kathryn F. “Katie” Griffin, 66, of Jacksonville, IL died Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
She was born January 14, 1949 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Clarence and Adelaide Ferguson Thomas. She married Larry Allen Griffin on January 6, 1984 in Saidora, IL and he preceded her in death on July 17, 2013.
She is survived by three children, Joye Overton (Ray) of Jacksonville, Donna Campbell of New Bern, NC, and Clinton Griffin of Springfield; 9 grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and two great grandsons due in November of 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Earl Thomas.
Katie previously worked in the credit department for Dixie Furniture in Charleston, SC. She was a member of the The Lord’s Congregation.
