Kathryn Elizabeth Jane Ridinger Dom, age 91, of Taneytown, was received into the arms of Jesus Wednesday, May 9, 2012. She departed this life at Genesis Nursing Center in Gettysburg, PA. She was born February 13, 1921 in Harney, Maryland and was the daughter of the late Nevin & Golda Ridinger. She was the wife of the late Walter Stuart Dom, Jr., to whom she was married 49 years.
Kathryn was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Harney where she had been active in the Ladies’ Auxiliary. She was also active during her life in the Harney Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Cambridge Rubber Company and the Leggett Department Store.
Surviving are daughter, Laura Edwards & husband, Tom, of Littlestown, PA; son, Stuart Dom & wife, Phyllis, of Ledyard, CT; sister, Ruth Varner of Virginia; brother, John Ridinger of New Oxford, PA; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Martha Ridinger & Sister Mary Agnes Bower, and brothers, Luther & Daniel Ridinger.
