Kathryn Belle Stroup, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Perry Lutheran Home in Perry, IA. Kathryn was born November 30, 1932, in McLeansboro, IL, to Paul and Ruth (Warren) Hale. She married William Stroup in 1954 and they made their home in Woodward. Kathryn worked as a Child Care Worker for Woodward Resource Center for 33 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Woodward Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Order of Eastern Star – Faithful Lodge 279 .
Kathryn is survived by her three nephews, Brad Lawrence, Robyn Lawrence, and Steven Lawrence; and niece, Rose Ann Daniels. She was preceded in death by her husband, and siblings, John Hale, Mary Ann McNutt, and Bobbee Lawrence.
