Kathlyn R. Guess, age 68 of Kalamazoo, died on July 15, 2022, at Rose Arbor Hospice. She was born November 19, 1953, in Monroe, Michigan, the daughter of Robert and Nelda (Ford) Burroughs. She was a graduate of Parchment High School. Kathlyn worked as a Home Health Care Aide for A+ Nursing for 8 years and later in various positions at McDonalds. She loved to collect ceramic dolls and do arts and crafts.
She was a hard worker who raised her three boys on her own for many years. On June 27, 1997, she married David Guess. Along with her husband, David, her family includes her sons: Troy (Hollie) DeHaan, Keith Eagle and Robert Eagle; her 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; her father, Robert Burroughs; her siblings: Keith (Valdora) Burroughs, Robert Burroughs, Jr., Karen (William) Reaume, James (Teri) Burroughs, Janice Ammon, and Beatrice Dahl; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Nelda and her brother Kenny Burroughs.
