Kathleen T. Ducharme Tetu
Kathy Tetu, 66 of Indian Trail, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Hospice House of Union County in Monroe, North Carolina. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on May 31, 1950, Kathy was the daughter of the late Roderick and Beatrice (Ducharme) Ducharme. A graduate nurse from Roger Williams Hospital School of Nursing in 1972 and she spent her life caring for others. Kathy was active member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church since the family’s move to Charlotte, NC in 1986.
She also served as both president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Military Order of the Purple Heart (LAMOPH) Piedmont Chapter 634 and chairperson for Wreaths Across America. Besides her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her sister: Joyce Ducharme Smith and brother-in-law Arnold Smith.
Mrs. Tetu is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Armand Tetu; daughters Amy Tetu Kushner and Sarah Tetu Page and son-in-law Christopher Page all of Indian Trail, NC.; grandchildren: Michael Page, Victoria Kushner and Georgia Kushner. Also surviving are her sister Linda Ducharme and her partner in life Anita Magovern of Murrells Inlet, SC., sister-in-laws: Rita Tetu Pekel and Doris Tetu Marcoux and her husband Albert Marcoux, and many nieces & nephews.
