Kathleen Szyja Hodge, age 49, of Ansonia, passed away at Griffin Hospital. Daughter of Joan Hott Szyja and the late Raymond M. Szyja, she was born on March 28, 1961 in Milford. She was a former medical assistant. Kathleen loved the ocean and motorcycles and had a passion for life.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Erica Santossio of Bedford, NH, Amanda Beauvais of Naugatuck and a son Nathaniel Hodge of Ansonia. Also two sisters Pamela Jenson and Robin Fersperman both of Florida and two brothers Richard H. Szyja of Pinehurst and William Szyja of Hamden. Kathleen also is survived by her devoted companion Aldo Staffieri and his daughters, Lianna and Cara of Ansonia and several nieces and nephews.
