Kathleen R. Affolder, 89, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013, at Robin Run in Indianapolis. She dearly loved serving the Lord and did lots of volunteer work at Union Chapel, Ball Hospital and Heart to Heart, all in Muncie where she and her husband lived for sixty years.
Kathleen was born January 19, 1924, in Berne, Indiana, and graduated from Berne High School in 1942. Mrs. Affolder was formerly employed at Ball Stores, L.S. Ayres and Britts department stores.
She leaves behind her husband, Rolland Affolder, to whom she would have been married seventy years on December 18th; a daughter, Dr.
Connor, Taylor and Clare Vanosdol, and Rolland Affolder; her sister, Flossie Randels, (husband, Bob), Dallas, Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ermin and Edna Rich Beer; her daughter, Laura Lee Affolder, who died in 1997; her step-mother, Glenna Beer; her brother, Roman Beer; a step-brother, Bobby Beer; and a step sister, Carolyn Beer.
