Kathy went to rest with the Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 8:00 PM, with her family, friends and hospice nurse by her side. She will be missed by her loving husband, Daniel, of 39 years, her three sons and daughter and other family members and friends. “Kathy” was born May 8, 1949, to Wade E. Conwell and Alice Marie Clements in Sacramento, California.
She lived most of her life in California, growing up happy with her Mom, Dad and siblings. She was blessed with 3 loving sons, who were all proud of their strong mother. Kathy never missed a game, school play or program of any of her children. She was then blessed with her second husband, Daniel, and his daughter, Annette Mei, in 1976 to make their family complete. In 1986 Kathy and Daniel picked up their family and moved to Grand Junction, Colorado for the next 29 years of her life. She loved the area and her family that was here. Her grandchildren became the joy of her life.
Kathy was a fixture at the Village Inn, on North Avenue, in Grand Junction for 18 years where she was employed as a waitress manager.
The other passion of her life, as anyone who knew her, was her lottery tickets and—winning! We never knew her to miss a game or a weekly chance at the “Millions”. She did, however, end up winning $47,000.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Daniel; three sons: Robert Ross Jaques (Crystie), Grand Junction, CO; Ronald Wayne Jaques (Tania), of Elk Grove, CA; Randy Eugene Jaques, Grand Junction; Annette Mei-Danielle Wilson, Sacramento, CA. Five sisters: Linda Gould (Don), Arkansas; Debbie Erickson (Eric), Sacramento, CA; Julie Barnett of Grand Junction, CO; Roxanna Woldridge of Durango, CO; Tearsa Stevens, also of Grand Junction. Three brothers: Dennis Berry, Jr, Sacramento, CA; Tim Conwell, DeBeque, CO; and Joe (Priscilla) Conwell of Grand Junction, CO.
Ten grandchildren: R. Broc Jaques; Miccah E. Jaques; Kristal L. Jaques; Christopher C. Hastings; Danile D. Salazar,Jr; Michael W. Jaques; Justin L. Jaques; Melody A. Padilla; Noelle A. Lira; Mary Grace Garcia; Six great-grandchildren and one on the way. And many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Conwell; Father, Wade Conwell; Step-father, Dennis Berry; Sister, Cindy Inskeep, and Brother, Michael Conwell.
We will always love and miss her, but are thankful she made her way home to the Lord. Thank you for all the love and support everyone has given our family in this hard time. Thank you to the Mei and Jaques family. We love you all.
