She graduated from Broad Ripple High School, class of 1975.
She married Kevin L. Slaybaugh April 30, 1983 in Nashville, Indiana; they were married for 30 years,
She had been employed with Indiana Bell Telephone, JC Penny Company, in the children’s department and more recently for Famous Footwear in Greenwood.
Kathy enjoyed playing cards, board games, doing cross stitch and feeding the birds. She loved spending time with her family, her cat, Jack and cooking for family gatherings.
Survivors include, her husband, Kevin Slaybaugh of Trafalgar, three children, Jennifer M., Michael J. and Kathryn M. Slaybaugh all of Trafalgar, five sisters, Valorie J. (Eugene) Engel of New Jersey, Nancy (James) Bohman of Greenwood, Suzy (Glenn) Kern of Noblesville,Elizabeth (James) Cordell of Indianapolis and Carol (Michael) Vrabel of Merrillville, three brothers, Raymond ( Mary Kay ) McCauley Jr. of Indianapolis, Timothy McCauley of Tipton and James Patrick (Connie) McCauley of West Lafayette, sister-in-law, Kris (Tom) Foreman of Franklin, mother-in-law, Martha (Dean) Eakright of Lafontaine and 24 nieces and nephews and their children.
