Kathleen (Kathi) Powers Reid, aged 76, of Winter Garden, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. She was born in January 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Andrew and Margaret Powers. After marrying, she raised her family in Delaware and Tennessee before settling in Gainesville for 36 years. She had just recently moved to Winter Garden.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Rob) Bailey and Kristen (Peter) Janke; her sister Patricia (Bob) Mueller; six grandchildren: Lauren, Alex, Taylor, Desmond, Simon, and Piper; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Bob.
Kathi began her career as a computer programmer before taking time off to raise her children. She loved attending dance, music, and sporting events for her children and her grandchildren. Kathi loved many things but especially chocolate and books! Above all, she cherished her family and her friends.
Kathi was well known for her passion for genealogy.
