Kathleen Ella Nelda Dittmer, 90, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away June 15, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Kathleen Ella Nelda Schierholz was born March 31, 1930, in Clayton County, Iowa to Alvin Carl and Ellen Catherine (Duwe) Schierholz. She attended and graduated the Colesburg School District graduating class of 1948 and attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Kathleen Ella Nelda Dittmer is survived by her husband: Martin Dittmer of Iowa Falls, Iowa; three sons: David (Natalia) Dittmer of Woodland, Washinton, Dr. Mark (Dr. Kathy Hart-Dittmer) Dittmer of Bettendorf, Iowa, Jeff (Sandy) Dittmer of Thermopolis, Wyoming, and Kay (Jeff) Verink of Monroe, Wisconsin; fourteen grandchildren: five great-grandchildren: and one brother Orville Schierholz of Sterling, Colorado. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents: Alvin and Ellen Schierholz; sister-in-law Betty Schierholz; and a granddaughter Jamie Ann Dittmer.
