Kathern L. Carter, 79, of Jacksonville, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at Passavant Area Hospital.
She was born May 9, 1931, in Petersburg, the daughter of Ellis and Mary Louise Atterbery Jones. She married Ralph E. Carter in May, 1962, and he survives.
She is also survived by one son, James E. Belcher, and two grandsons, Mark and Ronnie Belcher, all of Austin, TX.
Mrs. Carter worked many years at the Jacksonville Developmental Center.
