Katherine Cassy (Mueller) Twardowski, 84, of Peru, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010, in Duluth, MN. Mrs. Twardowski was born on December 30, 1925, in Peru to Otto and Bertha (Wilke) Mueller.
She married Harry P. Twardowski on February 9, 1946, at St. Josephs Church in Peru. She worked at Union 76 Truck Stop as a bookkeeper and IVCH Hospital in central supply. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Peru, Altar and Rosary Society, Peru VFW Auxiliary #8232, and was past President of the Peru VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons, Michael (Jody) Twardowski of Duluth, MN, Ronald Twardowski of Peru, and William (Eileen) Twardowski of Peru; 5 grandchildren, Jeff, Lisa, Kevin, Chad, and Jake Twardowski; 7 great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth (Dorothy) Mueller of Duluth, MN; one sister, Lois (Mel) Glynn of Petersburg, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry on May 26, 2002; one daughter, Rita Twardowski in infancy; one grandson Michael Twardowski; two brothers, Allen and Wilfred; three sisters, Barbara Sis Hoover, Doris Gorski, and Rita Mueller in infancy.
