Katherine Smith Parker of Buford, Georgia passed away on February 14, 2020 at the age of 87.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Roy Parker; parents, Herbert and Minnie Smith; sister, Nell Roebuck and brothers, Red and Ralph Smith.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her three daughters and son: Kathy Parker Humphrey, Flowery Branch, Debra Parker Caton, Buford, Patti (Jaime) Parker Velez, Buford, David Roy (Linda) Parker; six grandchildren: Donny (Martine) Humphrey, Dana Caton, Chris Caton, Melissa (John) Laurent, Crystal (Tim) Carter, and Daniel Parker; six great-grandchildren: Kate and Bryant Humphrey, James Parker, Maggie, Bryce and Craydyn Carter, Audrey and Alice Laurent; two sister-in-laws and multiple nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Parker was born on May 16, 1932 and was a life-long resident of Buford, GA.
She attended Buford City Schools. She was a home-maker and supported both her immediate and extended family in numerous ways. Katherine loved flowers of all sorts and vibrant colors. She also enjoyed going places and having new experiences. She was an avid reader and lover of music all throughout her life. Mrs. Parker was of Baptist faith.
