Katherine T. Salmini died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She was 60 years old.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Joseph P Salmini and Katherine Larkin Salmini. She is survived by her brother, Joseph P. Salmini, Jr., and his wife, Noriko Takaoka Salmini, of Honolulu, HI, her sister, Judith Falk, and her husband, H. Ronald Falk of Milford, PA and by her brother, Gregory, and his wife, Bernadette Santini Salmini, of Trumbull, CT. She will be sadly missed by her 5 nephews, 2 nieces and 13 grand- nieces and nephews.
Kathy attended Stratford and Orange Public Schools, the Gateway School in New Haven, CT. and Annhurst College in Woodstock , CT
Kathy was an avid history and Civil War buff and belonged to the Civil War Roundtable Chapter near her home. She also enjoyed needlepointing, family genealogy and reading.
She had many friends and her good-nature and easy smile will be missed by all who knew her.
