Salmini, Katherine “Kitty’ A. Salmini, of Fairfield, died on Monday May 9, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bpt., CT. Mrs. Salmini was born in Hoboken, N.J. on Jan 8, 1910 to the late James and Mary O’Brien Larkin. She married Joseph Salmini and moved to CT where they raised their four children. Her beloved Joe died in 1973. Mrs. Salmini was an avid golfer and an active member of the Race Brook Country Club for many years. Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening and even in her later years, always had a plant or two she was coaxing along to good health. She loved to travel, read and play bridge. In addition, she enjoyed painting and other creative endeavors. She was blessed with good health, good friends and a loving family. She will be sadly missed by her children, Joseph P. Salmini Jr. and his wife, Noriko of Honolulu, HW, Judith Falk and her husband, Ronald of Milford, PA, Gregory Salmini and his wife, Bernadette of Trumbull and Katherine Salmini of Hillsborough, N.C., as well as by seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
