Katherine Rosalie Schierholt, nee Fastring, 72, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Chugiak, AK, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at St. Paul’s Home in Belleville, IL.
Katherine was born on November 20, 1943 in New Orleans, LA.
She worked as an Administrator for Environmental Conservation for the State of Alaska; was a member of the VFW Post 9785 Auxiliary and St. Andrews Catholic Church in Eagle River, AK; and enjoyed gardening, square dancing, and sewing. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Louis Fastring; mother, Katherine Rosalie Englade, nee Mangiaricina; and stepfather, Isreal Englade.
Katherine is survived by her sons, Richard (Amelee) Lemieux of O’Fallon, IL, and Roland (Victoria) Lemieux of Anchorage, AK; and grandchildren, Richard (Lisaray) Lemieux of Maxwell AFB, AL, Renee Lemieux of Columbia, MO, and Elizabeth Lemieux of O’Fallon, IL.
