Katherine R. Farmer, age 92, of Plymouth, formerly of Hopkinton and South Boston, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018. She was the devoted wife of the late John Farmer. She was the loving mother of Gail Cummings and her husband Jim of Plymouth, Kathie Salfity and her husband Jamal of Myrtle Beach, Cheryl Ann Sousa and her husband Mike of Plymouth, and the late Donna Hayres and her late husband Tom. Katherine was the grandmother of Jimmy Cummings, Tommy Hayres, Cherilyn Fox, Michael Cummings, Janine Studley, Ashley Sousa, Michael Sousa, and John Sousa. Great grandmother of Xander Fox, Fin Fox, Braydon Studley, and Riley Studley. Born on March 25, 1926 in Boston MA, daughter of the late Joseph T. and Katherine (Molloy) Barnes. Katherine made her career with John Hancock. She was an avid reader and loved nature and being outside. Katherine was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, spending time with family meant everything to her.
