Katherine Pearl Jay, 84, passed away on May 31st, 2013, peacefully with her loving family in Tallahassee FL.
She was born to Della and Fred Kennedy in Brooklyn, New York on February 24, 1929.
When she was 9 months old her mother took her to Prince Edward Island, Canada.
She loved her family, neighbors, Bunco, Pacesetters and the Breast Cancer Survivors events that she supported in honor of her daughters, friends and caretakers at Hawthorne House.
She lived at Bob Hope Village for 25 years, five of those years at Hawthorne House Assisted Living. She spent her last year in the loving home of her family in Tallahassee, FL.
She is preceded in death, in 1983, by her husband Alphonsus “Earl” Jay, retired U S Air Force.
Katherine is survived by all of her children and their spouses;
Charles & Linda Jay of Indian Trail, NC; Della Orsini FWB, FL; Juanita Raymond & Leland
Arnold Jay; Mary Krzeminski & Steve all of Tallahassee FL and Joseph Jay of FWB, FL
She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
