Katherine Lee Sinsel, age 94, of Miller Street, Grafton, passed away, Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Home Away From Home Personal Care Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 2, 1919, in Taylor County, a daughter of the late Otha C. Compton and Nora Jennifer (Kisner) Robinson Compton. Her husband, Albert Maxwell Sinsel, preceded her in death July 6, 1985, they were united in marriage August 23, 1937. Mrs. Sinsel was a homemaker, mother, and wife. She was a member of the Blueville Church of Christ for 63 years, the Grafton Women’s Club, the DAR, and the Glade Run CEOs. Surviving are: five daughters, Beverly Ann Wolfe and husband Neil, of Evansville, WV, Helen Maxine DeMoss, of Athens, OH, Janet K. Blue, of Eagleville, TN, Carol Elaine Acre, of Fairmont, WV, and Sandra Sue Murray and husband James, of Grafton, WV; six grandsons, six granddaughters; 21 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one brother, Otha C. Compton, Jr. and wife Betty, of Bridgeport, WV; one sister, Doris J. Potter and husband Raymond, of Texas; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: one great grandson, J.D. Grose; three sons-in- law, Hugh DeMoss, John Blue, and Howard Trickett; three brothers, Arthur Veyon, William Compton, and Charles E. Compton; and three sisters, Lilly Moran, Edith Summers, and Bernice Hovatter.
