On February 20, 2023, the loving and sweet spirit of our Katherine Jane (Hill) Brown took flight from its earthly tabernacle and peacefully entered into eternal rest with our Lord and Saviour.
Katherine was born in Trinity, NC on April 6, 1950 to Charles Hill, Sr. and Annie Rebecca McComb Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Nadine Renee Hill, and her Grandfather, Lucious McComb who helped raise her.
Katherine was a member of Mount Olive East Christian Church of Martinsville VA.
She worked as a CNA at Presbyterian Nursing Home until retirement. She spent most of her life taking care of children in her home daycare. She was known to many as the Community Mother & Grandma. She spent her last days loving and tending to her younger great grandchildren, lovingly known to them as Nan Naw. They brought her great joy, laughter and love each day they were with her. She will forever be missed and cherished in our hearts.
Left to cherish loving memories of her are three daughters, Eunice Hill of Randleman, NC, Anita Hill-Callaway (Chauncey) of Oak Ridge, NC; and Bonita Suber (Tony) of Thomasville, NC; one son, Garcia Hill of the home; one sister, Altheia Alston of Randleman, NC; two brothers, Charles Hill, Jr. (Louise) of Randleman, NC and Clifford Hill of Vicksburg, MI. She had 8 loving Grandchildren Marquita Hill, Shaunita Dockery, Tamara Dockery, William Dockery, Jr., Donald Simms Jr., Darien Miller, Rikkel Jackson. Diamond Suber and Cameron Callaway. She had 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
