Katherine E. Barnett (nee Zweidinger), beloved mother and grandmother, 90, of Ortley Beach, NJ passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at her home. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Pio of Pietrelcina in Lavallette, NJ. She was born and lived in Hillside, NJ until 1985. As a young child she spent summers at the family bungalow in Miller’s Camp in Seaside Park, NJ. Later, she summered in Ortley Beach, NJ before moving there permanently.
Katherine was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Theodore Barnett, in 2015 and her siblings Charles, Valentine, Margaret Bacsenko, Anna Szpiech and Frederick. She is survived by her children Robert Barnett of Clearwater, FL, Thomas Barnett and his wife Mandi of Ortley Beach, NJ, Donna Nafie and her husband Scott of Basking Ridge, NJ and Karen Barnett of Sayreville, NJ; her grandchildren Sarah Barnett, Andrew Barnett and his wife Hannah, and Matthew Nafie; and many nieces and nephews.
