Katherine E. Griman, 70, of Elkhart, passed away Monday morning, May 15, 2017 at her parent’s home, surrounded by love, after a short battle with cancer. Katherine was born on October 11, 1946 in Elkhart to the late John D. and Doris June (Stewart) McKibbin.
She married Frank J. Griman on September 3, 1980 in Georgia. Frank died January 26, 1993. Surviving is her loving daughter Chris Snyder, two grandchildren, Noah and Natalie whom she adored all of Elkhart; three sisters Judy (Ron) Bailey, Deanna (Don) Swanson both of Elkhart and Susan McKibbin of Kauai, Hawaii; 3 nieces, 3 nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews survive as well. In addition to her parents and husband, a brother John “Pat” McKibbin preceded her in death.
Katherine was a 1964 graduate of Elkhart High School and retired from Godfrey Marine after 19 years in the accounts payable department. She was a C.A.R.E.S. volunteer for many years at Monger Elementary School. She loved her daughter, doting on her grand-kids, sisters, her four legged friends and flowers.
