Mrs. Sienza was born on February 11, 1928 in North Charleston, SC to Marion and Bertha Lee (Blanton) Rast. She married Louis Ronald Sienza on May 10, 1952 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Charleston, SC. She was a homemaker, worked at Ankiewicz’s Deli, Peru for 15 years and also for Shea’s Cleaners, LaSalle. She was a member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, LaSalle and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Elvis Presley fan. Katherine enjoyed spending time with her family and was involved in marching band competitions, municipal band concerts and school concerts.
She is survived by her children, Mike (Sallie) Sienza of Elgin, Debbie (Andy) Kunkel of Seatonville, Cindy Croissant of Spring Valley, Andrea “Andi” (Scott) Stevens of Peru and Pat (Holly) Sienza of Mukwonago, WI; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Marion Rast, Jr. and Marion Rast and one sister, Jean Sheldon.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Stevens, Bradley Kunkel, Matthew Oberholz, Roman Sienza, Mario Sienza and Thomas Sment.
