Katherine Ann Cooper, known to everyone as Kathy, was born on May 14, 1961 to the late Emanuel Cooper, Jr., and Doris Cooper in Silver Spring, Maryland. She graduated from Northwood High School in Wheaton, Maryland in June 1979. She later married Sylvester Thorpe, Jr.
Kathy was employed by Montgomery County Public Schools as a Bus Driver and Bus Attendant for Special Education Students for many years. In her leisure, she enjoyed watching old Westerns and Godfather movies. Her hobbies included crochet, dominos, and playing. cards. Her favorite was Spades.
