Kate Frances ( Morrison ) Walker, 29, left us Saturday, April 12, 2014 after a lengthy and brave battle with cancer. Born September 8, 1984 in Pensacola, she attended Gulf Breeze High School and graduated from Florida State University. While in Tallahassee, Kate met her best friend and husband, Cody Walker. Married in March of 2013, she and Cody lived in the Denver, Colorado area where they enjoyed the outdoors and traveled extensively. Kate was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Stewart Morrison and grandparents W. Stewart and Harriette Morrison. She is survived by her devoted husband, Cody; her mother Lucy Mains,step-father Greg Daily; her father Bill and step-mother Beth; her brothers Derrick and Will; her sister Sarah and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Also left to cherish her memory are her mother-in-law, Margie Walker and her beloved Binga. All who were fortunate to have known Kate were touched by her unwavering strength, optimism, beautiful smile and love of life. She will be missed more than words can express.
