Kassia Josetta Pulley was born on March 7, 1975 to the late Doretta Gross and Joseph Pulley (Evie). She loved and cherished the man she later called her father Rev. Clarence Gross (Eddie). She unexpectedly transitioned into eternity to be with the Lord on April 17, 2016.
Kassia was educated in the Caroline County Public school system and finished her education in the Queen Anne’s County Public school system. She graduated from Queen Anne’s County high school with the class of 1993. After graduation, she was employed at the Maryland Department of Agriculture as a secretary then later was employed at Payless Shoe Store as assistant manager. Desiring to further her education she later attended the Fleet Business School where she received a degree in Health Care Administration. After receiving this degree she entered the medical field doing medical billing and coding for various health institutions such as Johns Hopkins, National Institute of Health (NIH), Anne Arundel Medical Center and Baltimore-Washington Medical Center. She later enrolled in Chesapeake College to further pursue a degree in Nursing for two years.
Kassia being a servant for the Lord became all-encompassing to her life. She served as an Assistant Christian Education Director for Greensboro Pentecostal Church of God where she also taught Sunday school for a number of years. She also was a coach on a multiple award winning Bible Quiz team. Her church fund raising efforts were self-motivated as she directed everything from candy sales to bake sales. In her free time she would enjoy eating out at Red Lobster or Olive Garden amongst a plethora of other favorite places, watching a good movie or catching up on her stories and would never turn down a game of spades. Uncharacteristically, she even joined a book club which bought about a new found love for urban Christian novels. Whenever a family member or friend sponsored an event you could always count on Kassia being there.
Kassia leaves to cherish her memories; her devoted loving father Rev. Eddie Gross; Three sisters Millie Snowden (Me-Me), Danielle Gross (Pumpkin), Robin Brown; one brother Eddie (Boe) Gross; devoted & loving partner Ambrose Robinson (Brody); loving and caring aunts Alfreda Pulley, Australia Wilson (Bunk); one uncle Robert Pulley; four nieces Brittany Dowling (Pooh bear), Kaylin Snowden(Piggy), Kyliah Gross (KyKy), LaTanya Copps; three nephews Dominique Fountain (Domo), Quinneil Gross (QG); one great nephew Damion Fountain; Godfather Richard Keene; God sister Lorraine Patterson; Godchild Brittany Cintron; life-long friend Angel Cintron; and a host of other family, friends, and church family.
