Karl H. Epple passed away peacefully on Monday August 28, 2017 at Regional Hospice of Danbury. Karl was born on February 10, 1932 in Danbury CT to the late Eugene and Marie (Mall) Epple and was husband of Nancy (Dann) Epple.
Karl graduated from M.I.T. with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. After serving as a Lieutenant in the Air Force, Karl joined Heli-Coil Corporation as an engineer where over his career, he rose through the organization to become President and CEO and participated in the eventual acquisition of the company by Stanley Black and Decker.
Karl is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Nancy Dann Epple and three children; son Gary E. Epple (Carol) of Austin TX, daughter Karen E. Geisler (Mark) of Cortlandt Manor NY, and daughter Sharon K. Epple of Bethel. He is survived by his sister Trude Lauf (Walt), nine grandchildren, four great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
