Karl F. Buswell, age 78, of Peabody, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 4, 2022. Originally from Charlestown MA, Karl was a Peabody MA resident for over 30 years. He was a truck driver for 46 Years. Teamsters Union member. He had an impeccable record and drove over 3 million miles without an accident. He was also the Owner and President of DKN Trucking Co., Inc. from 1986 to 2006.
Karl was a loving husband and companion of 31 years to the late Virginia (Traversy) Buswell. He was the devoted father of 3 children: his son David Buswell of Lynn MA; his daughter Kristin Gillis of Peabody MA; and his daughter Nancy Hutchins of Stratham NH. He had a very special bond with his 2 sons in laws Michael Gillis and Erin Hutchins. He dearly loved his stepson Jay Easton of Richmond, CA.
Also survived by his former wife and mother of his 3 children, Carolyn Vincent. Son of the late Arthur and Anne (Peterson) Buswell. Very proud grandfather to 4 grandchildren: Shauna Deschenes (husband Andre); Rachael Rohr (husband Ciro); Erik and Ryan Hutchins. Karl was the brother to the late Caroline Conway of Medford MA, Marie McCarthy of Roslindale MA, Ernest Buswell of Beverly MA, Cheryl Orcutt of Tampa FL, and John Buswell of Norton MA. Karl also had many nieces and nephews. Family was his #1 priority, and he was well known for his wonderful sense of humor. An amazing friend, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather that will be loved and missed by all who knew him. He had a way of making everyone feel at ease and comfortable. He had a special talent for making people smile, Karl would just light up a room. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel special.
