Karl Christian Schulz, age 61, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Karl was born on January 19, 1955 and was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. He attended Sacred Heart of Jesus grammar school and graduated from Redemptorist High School, class of 1973.
Preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Ciaccio Schulz and Otto C. Schulz, Jr., Karl is survived by his true “Angel on Earth” Kathy Ingrassia, brothers Keith M. Schulz, Sr. and his wife Mili of Ft. Worth, TX and Kevin P. Schulz and his wife Tammy of Metairie, LA. Karl had a special bond with his nephews and nieces, Keith M. Schulz, Jr, Samantha Schulz, Kristina Schulz, Austin Schulz, Madelyn Schulz and Raul Escoto. Karl treated his nephews and nieces as his own children and enjoyed the roll of paw-paw to the children of Becky (Ingrassia) Wells and Teresa (Ingrassia) Smith; they collectively kept him very busy.
