Karen Tubb, 64, of Sandoval, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born December 26, 1955 in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Ed Austin and Mattie (Roberts) Cummins. Karen married James Tubb on January 17th, 2002 and he survives in Sandoval, IL.

In addition to her husband, James Tubb of Sandoval, she is also survived by her children: a daughter, Michelle Enriquez and husband Jonas and children: Dominic Enriquez, Tyler Enriquez, Zachary Enriquez, Angelina Enriquez and Isabella Enriquez all of St Louis, MO, a son: Mike Austin and wife Tricia and children: Emery Austin, Elin Austin and Isla Austin all of St Louis, MO, a daughter: Sheila Jacobs and children: Ariel Hynes and Justice Hynes all of Fayetteville, NC, a daughter, Angela Simpson and husband Ken and children: Lexi Simpson and Kenny Simpson, Jr. all of St Louis, MO, a son: Eric Gordon of Chicago, IL, and her 11 year old triplets: Leah, Leasha, and Jimmy Tubb all of Sandoval; two sisters: Judy Overturf and husband Don of Centralia and Shirley Austin of Sandoval; brother: Richard Cummins and wife Christy of Sandoval; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed Austin (father), Mattie Cummins (mother), step-father: John Cummins, a brother: Scotty, and two sisters: Lulu Belle and Linda.

Karen enjoyed singing, traveling to Effingham to see where she used to live, being a homemaker, and taking care of her children. She had a strong faith and really enjoyed reading scriptures from the bible. Her favorites include passages related to the Mustard Seed and Acts 2:1-13. But most of all Karen enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and family.
