Buckhead Ridge – Karen Sue Werne died on June 22, 2021. She was born December 7, 1956, in Huntingburg, Indiana. A resident of Buckhead Ridge since 1979, she was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Moose Lodge in Buckhead Ridge. She enjoyed camping, playing Bingo, helping others, and baking.
Mrs. Werne was preceded in death by her son, Josh Werne; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerome and Lovie Werne; and brother-in-law, Gary Schnarr.
She is survived by her husband of more than 40 years, Pat Werne; daughter, Jenessa Cowart; two granddaughters, Katarena and Leyla; four sisters, Roxanne Hasenour (Mark), of Jasper, Indiana, Carla Schnarr, of Huntington, Indiana, Joyce Welp (Jack), of Birdseye, Indiana, and Molly Egg (Bret), of Rogers, Arizona; parents, Robert and Beverly Giesler, of Birdseye, Indiana; and her loving dog, Buckshot.
