Karen Sue Larson
Karen Sue Larson, age 74, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away, December 30, 2018 at her home in Stromsburg.
Musical selections will be “Moment by Moment”, “Wonderful Grace of Jesus”, and “I Can Only Imagine.” Pianist will be Roni Branting and soloist, Kurt Moore.
Karen was born December 26, 1944 to Elmer B. and Helen M. (Lindeblade) Johnson. She attended country school until the 6th Grade and graduated from Stromsburg High School in 1962. She then attended Lincoln General School of Nursing graduating in 1965. She was united in marriage to Allen W. Larson December 4, 1965 at the Methodist Church in Stromsburg. To this union two children were born. Karen worked as a registered nurse at Annie Jeffrey Hospital in Osceola, the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg for 30 years and Tabitha Hospice for 10 years, retiring in 2006.
Karen was a member of the Stromsburg Evangelical Free Church where she enjoyed many church Bible studies over the years. She was also a member of the York Fun Club. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Allen of Stromsburg, daughter Allison (Chester) Cable of Omaha; son, Mark (Blythe) Larson of Essex, IA; and three grandchildren, Haley Cable, Amanda Cable and Dalton Larson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ralph and Kenneth and sister-in-law, Janice Johnson.
