Karen R. Wenger, 79, of the Town of Saratoga, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Karen was born on June 12, 1943 in the Town of Saratoga to Harold and Dorothy (Allen) Roberts. She married Gerald Wenger on June 17, 1961 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner, WI. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2003.
She enjoyed cooking and baking cookies, and spending time with her family.
Karen is survived by her sons; Dave Wenger of Wisconsin Rapids, and Doug (Paula) Wenger of McKinney, TX; daughters: Sandy Schallie of Wisconsin Rapids, and Cindy (Dan) Anderson of Lomira, WI; grandchildren: Heidi Hewuse of Wisconsin Rapids, Dustin (Friend: Samantha Mortl) Lockhart of Wisconsin Rapids, Jesse Boisen of Wisconsin Rapids, Matthew Lockhart of Wisconsin Rapids, Jeramie (Alexia) Wenger of Wisconsin Rapids, Joshua (friend: Taylor Krause) Wenger of Wisconsin Rapids, Amanda (friend: Robert Butera) Wenger of Rome, WI, Ashley (fiance’ Adam Freund) Wenger of Arpin, WI, and Scott (fiance’ Becca Sellnow) Anderson of Waupun, WI; 23 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Melva Smits of Wisconsin Rapids, Nancy (Chuck) McKenney of Nekoosa, WI, Corrine Roberts of Genoa City, WI, Bobbie (Dan) Sparks of Wisconsin Rapids; sister-in-law, Carol Miehlke of Orland Hills, IL; and family friend Karen Mickem.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Wenger; sister, Darlene Roberts, brothers-in-law, Clifford Smits, Eugene Miehlke, Roland Hischke, and AC Alonzo; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Alonzo, and Helen Hischke; and in-laws, Roy and Ida Wenger.
