We are sad to announce the passing of our mom, Karen Marie Parker. She passed away at age 59 in Aurora, Colorado with her family by her side after losing her battle with leukemia.
Mrs. Parker was born December 06, 1963 to Wayne Ashley Sr. and Wilma Collins in Baltimore, Maryland.
She graduated with a dual masters in psychology and criminal justice from the University of the Southwest. She was amazing at what she did, extremely intelligent, and had a passion for helping others. She was amazing at what she did, extremely intelligent, and had a passion for helping others. She married her soulmate Stephen Parker on February 14, 1991. They were married 19 years before he passed. She absolutely loved her family but mostly her boys. Her boys were her life and not a day went by that she didn’t let them know. If anyone could come close to that love she had for her boys, it was her grandchildren. She loved being grandma/Mimi and the grandkids sure loved her. She loved beautiful sceneries, the mountains and the oceans were amongst her favorites. I know she is somewhere enjoying those beautiful sceneries right now.
Karen is survived by her children Jeffrey Neuer Jr. (wife Teryn), Stephen Parker Jr. (wife Samantha), Nicholas Neuer, and Seth Parker all of Eunice. Joshua Parker (wife Tabby) of Idaho. Also one brother Ricky Ashley (partner Kathy), one sister Betty Boggs (husband Ivan), 4 nephews and 2 nieces.
Karen is preceded in death by her husband Stephen Parker, mother Wilma Collins, father Wayne Ashley Sr., and brother Wayne Ashley Jr.
