Karen L. Lawler (Zahs), 75, of Palm Coast, passed from this life unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, March 20, 2021, from natural causes. Born in Piqua, Ohio, on June 5, 1945, she resided in Palm Coast for the past 25 years. She moved to the Daytona area from Interlachen, where she raised her children. An LPN, Karen acquired special training in environmental medicine and allergies. Her training and skills as a consultant in skin testing often took her to locations all over the country. In years past, Karen had been involved with her local MOOSE Club, VFW, SENPA, Arbor Foundation, Audubon Society, World Wildlife Foundation, and many more organizations. In her leisure time, she could be found taking pictures of everything under the sun and traveling all over the place.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, James Robert Lawler, and her long-time partner, John Morrison. She has many other family members that meant the world to her that she has lost over the past several years.

Karen is survived by 2 daughters, Teresa D Lawler Tipton of Satsuma, FL, and Tracey D Lawler of Jacksonville, FL. 2 sons, R. Todd Lawler of Waynesville, NC, and R. Travis Lawler (Mary) of Daytona Beach. A brother, Fred Zahs (Celeste) of Miami, FL. 12 grandchildren: Tanner N. Tipton, Taran N. Tipton, Teyler N. Tipton, Opheli Garcia-Lawler, Nicolo Garcia-Lawler, Breezy Woods, Skylar Woods, Sarah Schaaf, Allison Lawler, Rylee Lawler, Aspen Lawler, and Dylan Lawler and 5 great-grandchildren, with 2 more greats on the way. Also surviving her are her sisters Barbara Tryban and Beverly Tryban, and a brother Curtis Johnson. And she has a Grand-dog, Tayla, and her cat GiGi.
