The Reason mom Lived was for us all, her strength came from her moral compass being a person of faith, compassion, and caring. Her legacy live on in all of us.

I can say her entire life she never wavered in her faith, up until my last conversation with her, she had a zest for life, and belief that was enduring. I only pray, I have her strength. About a year ago I remember a conversation we had when she recanted a social worker / with a minister came to talk to her, about how she felt about life. You have to understand she has been ambulatory for a while unable to walk, with the only highlight was the time she would spend with Gene and the phone calls.  Mel made certain she covered down for the rest of us, Sunday phone calls for the last 15 years. Well along way to get to a short message.  She told the crew of experts, that was there. “Every day is a blessing and no I am not going say I don’t want to be alive.    Thats mom.

She made everything perfect, that was her driving force. Terry surprise baby shower, I told her we were heading to a movie. The whole family was there. Mom made it happen.   Christmas, birthdays I could go on.

As a wife, a mom, grandma, and great grandma she pretty much devoted her strength being concerned about us.

Her life at the Miami Center, retiring as an aircraft flight plans specialist. She was a dedicated women enduring a time when the work force was male driven. Kind of an understatement. She pressed on, not stopping even when the machine stacked the odds against her. I grew from watching and growing from her core values, kind of funny the USAF adopted that slogan back in the 90`s.  I don’t know if she knew that.  She also has so many good friends from her time there and she loved them all.

As young man I gave her fits she drove through those time by maintaining a sense of balance, being tough but fair. When I was in trouble, and down in out I was always given guidance. Well, I was 17 but I thought I was 30. She lectured me that I need time to reflect, she was correct, and she really was helping me grow up.

I’d like to close by reading some thoughts I believe mom would say to her family and friends: “Every living moment she had in life, she thanks God for giving her the time she had with all of us.  As she has moved on to heaven mom is embraced by my grandparent, family and her friends that were always family to her.

Our Sounding Board!

I would like to give Gene, Terry, Phil, Mel and Amber the floor.

Anyone that has something to say.

Thank you for being here, Mom say I love you all.

I love you mom.
