Karen K. Daum, age 78, of Casa Grande, Arizona, passed away February 26, 2020 at her home in Arizona.
Karen was born January 13, 1942 to Joseph and Elsie (Plugge) Kubicek in Shelby, Nebraska. She attended Shelby school, graduating in 1959. She was united in marriage to Larry L. Daum on January 30, 1960 at the Shelby United Methodist Church. To this union two children were born.
They lived in Columbus, Broken Bow, before moving back to Columbus, then Sedalia, Missouri until retiring to Casa Grande, Arizona in 2002. They summered in Shelby when not traveling the United States in their RV. Karen was a very talented, artistic person, making jewelry, sewing and making Faberge eggs. She especially enjoyed playing Bridge, belonging to many Bridge clubs over the years.
Survivors include her husband Larry of Casa Grande, AZ; one daughter JaNell Peterson of Las Vegas, NV; one son Brian of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and brother-in-law Nancy (Alvin) Heesacker.
