Karen K. Norbury Green, 65, Anderson, died December 2, 2004, at Community Northview, Anderson after an extended illness. She was born December 27, 1938, in Elwood, Indiana, and was a resident of this area as well as spending 30 years in Arizona.

She had been a teacher in the Paradise Valley School District in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Butler University and graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She was a member of the Central Christian Church. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity. She loved nature, hiking, traveling, artistry, crafts, making jewelry, reading, and listening to music.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristi Lin Green of Anderson; husband, Fredric J. James of Anderson; step-children, Kimberly Rhodus of Anderson, Tamara Baker of Nashville, Tennessee, Lisa James of Yankeetown, Florida and Jeff James of Valporaiso; sister, Sara & husband Karl Keller; niece and nephews, Doug Jackson of Pendleton, Cindy Smith of Indianapolis and David Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren and the fifth great-grandchild is due in April; many special friends.

She was preceded by her parents, Clyde Byron & Frances McCreary Norbury, and a son, Scott Thomas Green on August 15, 2001.
