Karen Jo Lewis, 53, lifelong resident of Seneca, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born January 9, 1956 in Seneca, to Kenneth and Eleanor (Samspon) Lewis, Sr. She worked for the Chicago Tribune and the Morris Daily Herald. Karen was a loving mother, sister, best friend, and was a good hearted person. She loved to play bingo and her dogs Chico and Gia.
Karen is survived by her daughter; Crystal Gayle Lewis of Ottawa; one brother, Kenneth Joseph Lewis, Jr. of Seneca; three sisters, Sherry (Larry) Grieves of Seneca, Gayle (Richard) Holcomb of Seneca and Melissa Lewis of Ottawa; several nieces and nephews and a good aunt; her companion Ron Truchon of Seneca;
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Victoria Lynn Lewis; a nephew, Christopher Grieves; and her grandmother, Eva Sampson.
